Self-Critique at Artwork Completion

Students will complete a written evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of their artwork. They will complete the task choosing one piece of their own work of art. At the teachers desertion they may choose to have each student evaluate the same piece of work. Teachers may choose to have students use this task at the end of every project.

This item has been voluntarily field-tested by Michigan teachers with a non-representative sample of students.

This is an analytic rubric. The column on the left shows the dimension that is being measured in the student’s performance. The levels across the top row indicate the performance level in the dimensions. Occasionally all dimensions and performance levels are exemplified by multiple students in a single recording.
