In-Class Rehearsal and Performance

Students will perform choreography previously learned and rehearsed as soloists or as a part of an ensemble with spatial awareness, musicality, and accuracy in technical principles relating to stationary, axial, and locomotor movements as well as time, space, and energy. Students will have a final rehearsal in the studio space. This will be the final opportunity for the students to review the choreography with the use of the mirror. Then students will have a rehearsal on the performance space (gym, stage, classroom, etc.) to prepare for the performance in front of an audience.

This is an analytic rubric. The column on the left shows the dimension that is being measured in the student’s performance. The levels across the top row indicate the performance level in the dimensions. Occasionally all dimensions and performance levels are exemplified by multiple students in a single recording.
