Researching, Writing, Improvising, and Reflecting on Global Issues

Researching, Writing, Improvising, and Reflecting on Global Issues

The teacher will assign students to groups of three or four. These groups will research global issues, select a specific global issue, and create a short improvised scene based on the research. The students will complete basic information about the scene on an outline sheet.

Students will create characters expressing different viewpoints on the global issue or conflict and provide a possible solution to the issue. Students will perform their scenes for the class and be recorded. Audience members will reflect on the global issues they observed and what they learned through watching the dramatic performances.
